My Glory Rejoiceth
Romans 10 verses 10 " For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation." Confession with the mouth brings salvation but it is meaningless and non-effective if it's not first entrenched in the heart, which makes it right. 'O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.' (Matthew 12 verses 34-35). For as he (a man) thinketh in his heart so is he:.. (Proverbs 23 verses 7) One needs to be remorseful and with a reflection of that remorse from within the inner man, confession with the mouth brings salvation. Salvage is the rescue of a wrecked or a disabled item or situation as a ship, plane, or human, and that is to transplace, meaning to put in another place from where it is found. In our situation, it is to translate us from where sin places us,
which is the kingdom of darkness of the devil or a place of ungodliness, into the kingdom of his dear son Jesus Christ, the kingdom of light, a place of glorious liberty. Confession rounds you up from the edges of wretchedness and makes you whole again. It stops you in your tracks of running into or pursuing sin, your old dead ways and turns you around into a new way of life. It's a promise of God in Proverbs 1 verses 23 " Turn you at my reproof: behold, l will pour out my spirit unto you, l will make known my words unto you." Two things happen with a turnaround, * God pours his spirit upon you * God makes his word known unto you.
When we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Having to turn us around unto his righteousness, he pours out his spirit unto us to empower us to stay right new course, and he makes known his words unto us, to heal and to teach and lead us in our new way of life, the path of righteousness.
Three times the Psalmist prayed this one sentence in Psalm 80 verses 3, 7 & 19 " * Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. *Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. *Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved." The first was addressed 'O God' The second was addressed 'O God of hosts' The third was addressed 'O Lord God of hosts' It was to touch every breadth, length, depth, and height of God to empower a turnaround. I pray the same turn around for us, to make His face shine upon us, and
cause us to be saved, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen!
We receive power when the holy spirit comes upon us. (Acts 1:8) On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost came upon all the believers and being filled with the holy spirit, the word of God was delivered in such power that many were saved. ( Acts 2 verses 1-4, 14, 40-43) Again when the disciples were threatened not to speak the word, they assembled and prayed and the place was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. And with great power gave the apostles witness of
the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. (Acts 4 verses 18,24,2933) This establishes one fact that Christianity or the Gospel of Jesus Christ is based on nothing but the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God in Prayer. It is my prayer therefore, that you have a teachable spirit to read the word of God, hear it, meditate upon it and embrace it with all your heart. The power of the holy spirit will enfold you and empower you to be and to do what God wants you to be and to do in Him. Amen and God bless.
